Package: clamav-daemon Version: 0.88.7-2 Severity: normal Hi there,
I just upgraded clamav and I noticed the daemon doesn't want to start anymore. The error is: Starting ClamAV daemon: clamdERROR: Problem with internal logger. Please check the permissions on the /var/log/clamav/clamav.log file. failed! I checked the permission, and they seem to be correct: -rw-r----- 1 clamav adm 226 Feb 18 15:13 clamav/clamav.log -rw-r----- 1 clamav adm 5431 Feb 18 15:18 clamav/freshclam.log The /etc/clamav/clamav.conf file contains the line: User clamav Which seems to be in line with the permissions. I can't see what is wrong, everything looks okay to me. It ran normally before the upgrade. Therefore, I think this is a bug.
