Hi, I wonder why this trivial two year old bug is not fixed

I'm planning to upload one, but now I have to kludge around it because of this. I understand that now (with etchs release around the corner) is not the time to upload a new glib-2.0, but I would want to know your thoughts on this. grts Tim
