Package: autoconf
Version: 2.61-3
Severity: important

I got the following error from aclocal:

  /usr/bin/m4: unrecognized option `--debugfile=autom4te.cache/traces.0t'
Try `/usr/bin/m4 --help' for more information.
  autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1
aclocal: autom4te failed with exit status: 1

/usr/bin/autom4te calls "m4 --debugfile=...". The --debugfile option
does not exist in m4 version 1.4.4-1. Upgrading m4 to 1.4.8 fixes the
problem.

In older versions of autoconf (2.60a-3), "m4 --error-output=..." was
used instead, which works on both version of m4.
