It's not possible to use a register view other than the General Ledger for the scheduled transaction editor, because it isn't attached to any particular account. If a generic view is not sufficient, then it is entirely unclear what view should be chosen instead. What would you like done in the surrounding dialog? Perhaps there is a wishlist item here, if you think something could be made more clear. But the reported bug was that credit/debit terminology was being used when the user had requested otherwise; gnucash does not support using anything but credit/debit terminology on general ledgers, and it's not at all clear what it could use there except that, nor is it clear how the scheduled transaction entries could be anything but general ledger entries.
