hmm, i looked into the "User interface" setting (which btw does use a lowercase i for the word interface). i changed the "Hinting" to "Medium", which makes the font look pretty (as it does in gnome). i guess this means that gnome is telling apps to use medium hinting by default whereas xfce defaults to "Full". i personally think that medium hinting looks better. i would recommend it as the xfce default also. thanks. mike -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
