I disagree strongly. The fact that the developers have chosen to use a particular register view for the scheduled transaction editor explains why the scheduled transaction editor has these column headings but that doesn't address the usability problem I was reporting. Even if there is something forcing that particular view I would hope it would be possible to do something in the surrounding dialog to clarify what is going on.
