Package: gs-common
Version: 0.3.11
Severity: normal

For some time now, gs does not find some truetype fonts on my system,
like bitstream vera and dejavu, while they are registered under Defoma.
The net result is that they are substituted (badly) and graphics using
these fonts are completely broken when converted to EPS or PDF.

I found that the TT fonts are not listed in
/var/lib/defoma/gs.d/dirs/fonts/Fontmap, but in
/var/lib/defoma/gs.d/dirs/fonts/FAPIfontmap, and that adding them by
hand in Fontmap fixes the problem. Since I know nothing of ghostcript
font handling, I do not know what is the proper fix.

Note that I'm using gs-gpl (both gs-esp and gs-afpl fail to read the EPS
files generated by inkscape)
