Ok, I used the mini.iso image, and followed the directions you wrote. After running debian-installer, the gui started, but the touchpad still didn't worked.
The only related messages I got on the console are:
...
(*) Direct/Modules: suppress module 'linux-input'
...
(!) DirectFB/FBDev: Panning display failed!
--> Invalid Argument
...
The other messges seem only informative.
I'll wait for further instructions.
