Package: gaim Version: 1:2.0.0+beta4-3 Severity: minor Before the upgrade to the 2.0 series, gaim (used for a jabber account) had an extremely useful "offline" mode (unfortunately I can't remember what it was called). One could keep gaim running but just sign in/out as one gained/lost network connectivity. The status icon menu had a very nice "sign-out/sign-in" feature which made this very easy to do.
Now, whenever I go offline I have to remember to close gaim. When I reconnect to a network I need to start gaim up again. If I don't, the connect/disconnect gets totally confused and I have to wait for network timeouts before I can properly log in to jabber once more. Can the off-line feature be brought back?
