Could you please send me the output of kdetv and xawtv (run xawtv with some verbosity level, eg -v 1). Also I would like you to test the other video modes offered by kdetv to see if it those work. (You can change to video modes by the Video menu.) > Besides I do not get sound in either xawtv or kdetv. You have to connect your TV card with the audio card. The sound output of the TV card has to be connected to the line-in of the sound card. Then when you are watching TV you can listen to the sound by adjusting the volume of the Line in by any mixer application. You can adjust the volume from kdetv if you properly configure the appropriate mixer module (probably alsa).
