You mention *installation*, but the message you quote indicates a removal; this is strange. Did you paste the message you intended to paste? > invoke-rc.d: initscript dmraid, action "stop" failed. > dpkg: error processing dmraid (--purge): Could you please add "set -x" to the start of /etc/init.d/dmraid and run "invoke-rc.d dmraid stop" and "start" again?
