Hi sean,
I don't believe that mysql-bug 5574 is associated with my situation. It reports a bug where a table with foreign keys is created, then altered to MyIsam, and then the re-creation does not work anymore.
My problem however is that the "ALTER TABLE ADD CONSTRAINT"-Syntax seems to not work sometimes. This might either be a problem with the mysql-server which does not execute it correctly or with mysql-admin which might be producing incorrect queries.
"ALTER TABLE ADD FOREIGN KEY" does work however. I am no sql-expert, so I am not sure if I need the constraint if I have successfully set a foreign key...
Hope this helps.
Roland
