Hi, setting the environment variable XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS before starting qiv seems to help:
XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 qiv ... Maybe this variable can be set before any gtk operation takes place to workaround this bug until a better solution is available. regards, Jörg
