Hi Mario, I'm unable to reproduce your bug.
On a freshly installed Sid system, I installed Postgresql and pure-ftpd-postgresql. I set up a simple auth db with one user, and was able to connect from a different machine, using both standalone and inetd setups. I didn't try the chroot setup. However, Sid has progressed a bit since your bug report. Here are my versions of the relevant packages. Note in particular the versions of libc6 and libpq4, which are higher than when you filed your report. ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcap1 1.10-14 support for getting/setting POSIX.1e capabilities ii libpam0g 0.79-3.2 Pluggable Authentication Modules library ii libpq4 8.1.4-7 PostgreSQL C client library ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8c-3 SSL shared libraries ii postgresql-8.1 8.1.4-7 object-relational SQL database, version 8.1 server ii postgresql-client-8.1 8.1.4-7 front-end programs for PostgreSQL 8.1 ii postgresql-client-common 65 manager for multiple PostgreSQL client versions ii postgresql-common 65 manager for PostgreSQL database clusters ii pure-ftpd-common 1.0.21-5 Pure-FTPd FTP server (Common Files) ii pure-ftpd-common 1.0.21-5 Pure-FTPd FTP server (Common Files) ii pure-ftpd-postgresql 1.0.21-5 Pure-FTPd FTP server with PostgreSQL user authentication ii zlib1g 1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime If your problem persists with these package versions, please provide a detailed description of your setup, so I can try to reproduce it. But if the problem went away with the newer packages, please let us know so this bug can be closed. Cheers, Florian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
