Package: dbconfig-common
Version: 1.8.25
Severity: normal

Hi,

my package otrs2 supports both mysql and pgsql and everything is working
nicely when I am installing it with 'dpkg -i'. I can choose either mysql
or pgsql. But the whole thing fails when I am installing with apt-get.
During apt's preconfigure phase I try to choose pgsql with the following
answers:

* otrs2/pgsql/app-pass: (password omitted)
* otrs2/pgsql/authmethod-user: ident
* otrs2/database-type: pgsql
* otrs2/dbconfig-install: true

But when the postinst runs I am asked for the mysql (!) admin password.
After entering it the configuration changes to:

* otrs2/pgsql/app-pass: (password omitted)
* otrs2/pgsql/authmethod-user: ident
* otrs2/database-type: mysql
* otrs2/dbconfig-install: true

An installation with PostgreSQL is practically impossible even when I
remove the mysql-server-5.0 package. I have rechecked my package but
could not find any error. That is why I am reporting this bug.

Please use the latest otrs2 package if you want to reproduce the
problem. There was a fully broken NMU some weeks ago that you should
avoid.

Cheers,
Torsten
