Package: nfs Version: nfs-kernel-server Severity: normal
Attempts to mount an nfs directory on the localhost results in a "permission denied" response. That is trying to mount the nfs directory on a mount point on the same machine that is running the nfs server. Mounting the nfs directroy on a remote machine works as expected. The reason for doing a localhost mount is to be able to have access to directories on the main system from a chroot environment. All the documentation found states that localhost mount required not special setting, configuration, etc. Therefore I can only conclude that this situation is a bug. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
