Yes.  I can't see any problem with that.

Next time you print a job, please could you take a look at
/var/log/cups/error_log?  If you view it with tail(1) as you are
printing, you might see something useful (like an error).  If this
doesn't work, please set LogLevel to "debug" in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
and restart CUPS with "/etc/init.d/cupsys restart" before trying
again.

If you sent me a copy of error_log, I'll look it over.
