You're basically right, but I'm not going to because I don't have the
will to write and debug the code. I should perhaps instead have bumped
the version number to 2.4.
I get very little communication from non-Debian users, so I'm not so
worried about them: my main focus is Debian users upgrading from sarge
to etch and getting a shock.
I think that for zile users this note is pretty important. I could
certainly put something in the README.
