Package: libasound2 Version: 1.0.12-1 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
I just upgraded all ALSA packages from version 1.0.11-7 and was left out with no audio output in my system. Suddenly all software started refusing to play audio. Wine says "ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:846:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to create IPC shm instance." Totem-xine and gstreamer's playbin don't say much, but they don't work either. Downgrading libasound2* back to 1.0.11-7 brought the audio back. All other ALSA packages remain at the latest version. Note that the mixer was working, although I'm not sure whether it relies on libasound2 to operate. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-ck1 Locale: LANG=es_AR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages libasound2 depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-3 GNU C Library: Shared libraries libasound2 recommends no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFBsCF823633cP2P8RAmt0AJ0XsVe8yRCIWLqOG/rf/hUAQpTy4wCdGX23 BvyeOuoIsovjme78iyDkaCg= =LzBI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
