The problem there is the confusion that would result from making the Balance column editable. That could cause havoc with new users. Tagging this "wontfix" because a minor enhancement for one user is likely to cause major aggravation for a lot of new users and thereby a lot of problems for upstream. All I can suggest is having an on-screen calculator open alongside gnucash. If you would prefer a simple calculator within gnucash (alongside the Financial Calculator), please file a new bug report. Such an idea has been put to upstream before but nothing has come of it yet. I can only guess it wasn't seen as a priority in the transition to Gtk2. A fresh report may elicit a more favourable response this time. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.data-freedom.org/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/
