I experienced the problem described by neoXite and was able to get
Asterisk working by executing the script asterisk_fix from the asterisk
source package.
I don't understand enough of the details regarding the installation of
Debian packages, but it seems the problem could come about for the
following reason:
The file asterisk-config.postinst refers to
/usr/share/asterisk/bin/asterisk_fix. For me, the directory
/usr/share/asterisk/bin does not exist. Might asterisk_fix not be
executed because of this?
