Hello Christian, I talked to Simon, and he will update the man page in question the week after the next. What is the time schedule for passwd regarding Etch? As passwd is not essential, the freeze on the 31 does not apply, and an updated german man page should make it into etch, even if it comes, lets say, in the first days of august?
I'll forward the po file to Simon in a minute. On Fri, Jul 21, 2006 at 07:16:53AM +0200, Christian Perrier wrote: > > Yes, this sounds good. This is actually the > same for regular translations....or po-debconf stuff. Thats a pitty. At least for tetex Frank informs the translators when the template has changed and the translations need updating. Also ddtp used to send out update notifications when necessary. Ideally I'd envison something like the Debian web page, where I could quickly scan for translations requiring updates (preferably limited to my ones). Well, I guess this goes way beyond this thread in a different wishlist bug. > There is stuff in the po4a package.....and the knowledge of pO4a > maintainers (hint: Nicolas François is upstream for it...:-))) Well, installed it and reading README.Maintainers right now. It even starts off with "notification of maintainers" :-)) (but then dies of a little). I guess I'll read the man pages (or even translate some of them, german seems missing there) and apply it to my small pet package :-)) > > As a side note, do you think #253085 is obsolted by po4a and friends? > > > Hmmm, I'm offline right now, so can't really check...
