I could. The problem is this line in debian/rules: NOCONFIGURE=true AUTOMAKE=automake-1.9 ACLOCAL=aclocal-1.9 ./autogen.sh Appearantly dash doesn't allow setting of more than one variable before a command. I suppose it could be fixed by exporting the AUTOMAKE and ACLOCAL variables. That wouldn't be conceptually wrong either (exporting NOCONFIGURE would be). I'll prepare a fix and get it uploaded soon.
