Package: file-rc
Version: 0.8.10
Severity: important

Hi,

It seems that file-rc 0.8.10 breaks system shutdown from inside KDE.
When choosing "Shutdown" the session is exited (i.e. all apps are
closed), but that's all. I end up with a black screen+mouse cursor. kdm
is still running.

After switchting to VT1 and logging as root I do init 0 and it kills
kdm, shutdowns apache and powers down hda. Nothing more happens, the
system doesn't react to anything anymore.

It also seems to happen only after running the sytem for a while (I'll
test that tomorrow again), i.e. a shutdown right after the
boot+graphical login doesn't show this.

I downgraded to 0.8.7 (the version that worked last, as 0.8.8 was
totally broken) and everythings working again (after a days work, the
shutdown works perfectly).
