Yes, but I do want git installed, which is also in Recommends. It is just a bit awkward to need to install that separately as well.. but you are right. Maybe this bug can be closed, with the --no-install-recommends solution. In particular, qrencode seems to be an even better candidate for moving from Recommends to Suggests.. but it is quite subjective, and really depends on how someone is using pass.
