Hi Bastian, Had a quick word with the zipl maintainer Peter Oberparleiter. He was mentioning that there wouldn't be much problem in switching to a BLS config (https://uapi-group.org/specifications/specs/boot_loader_specification/) as zipl already supports that and this config approach is already in use on RHEL.
Please do mention if you see any additional zipl requirements in this area (or something that doesn't work). Thanks & Regards, Pranav
