The vendor driver duplicates quite a bit of code as you see the mainline submission is way smaller. v2 has a Reviewed-by Andrew Lunn. I have good hope that the driver is in the Debian kernel package before forky gets released. Therefore, I suggest not adding a dkms module and instead focusing effort on other things such as mainlining the driver. Helmut
