If upstream changes things I'm fine to follow them but - - I'll wait for an upstream release to upload to unstable and let it migrate to testing - - Once that happens, I'll see if it's worth backporting the patch to the 0.13.3-1 version in Trixie and maybe ask for a stable upload. Meanwhile if it really bother you there's always the workaround not not limit rendering or not enable smoothing.
