Bug #1120389 [qemu] qemu: Deleting snapshot results in unexpected disk usage

Marked as fixed in versions qemu/1:10.1.2+ds-3.
I'm missing context here. What was the fix for the issue?
Should we fix it for 10.0.x series too (for trixie)?
All the information I have is already in the bug report :)
I have no idea what changed in QEMU between 10.0 and 10.1 to cause
this, but I have confirmed that the issues mentioned in the original
report can be trivially reproduced in trixie, while upgrading *just
QEMU* to the version in sid makes it go away.
Ok, this makes perfect sense.
I'm not familiar with libvirt. Can you tell me what's the
equivalent actions with plain qemu, without libvirt, - how
to reproduce it with qemu?
Or maybe you can do a bisect between 10.0.0 and 10.1.0 and find
out which commit fixed it?
Thanks,
