'ello Laurence The new combined v4/v6 firewall and stateful v6 at last would be a great thing for users to be able to use but without an upgraded iptables package this seems impossible.
Your statement: Yes, stateful IPv6 support may be deemed important, but the severity for a feature request is wishlist. doesn't tell us why you don't just upload a new version. Probably it's not that simple but perhaps if you were to explain why you appear to be blocking this then either the people who want this in Debian could work on resolving the issues for you or we could help you prepare the next release. Pervasive IPv6 support is a great release goal and having IPv6 native ADSL to my desk, I'd personally love to see this upgraded in Debian. If you could at least explain to us /why/ it's not that simple then we'd be happier otherwise it just looks like you're holding us to ransom for no good reason. I'm happy to prepare packages/upload/help out etc if you're unable to as I imagine is Andreas.
