Mozilla generates an invalid bookmark file if the properties of a bookmark
separator contain special characters like doublequotes. The file is saved but
on the next start of Mozilla 100% CPU are eaten and Mozilla does not show the
start window.
Howto reproduce:
- Goto Bookmark Manager
- Create a new Separator
- Right Click -> "Properties"
- Enter String with doublequote like : "Foo" Sites
- OK
- Exit Mozilla
The bookmark file now containes the following fishy looking entry:
<HR NAME=""Foo" Sites">
- Start Mozilla.
Expected behaviour: Either invalid characters should be rejected or properly
quoted.
Note: I tried it also with Firefox 1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.3-2 which shows the same
behaviour.
