The "slidge" source package also Build-Depends on it. In this case, that used to actually want PyPI's blurhash-python (the one that's currently packaged in Debian), but as of 0.2.2+git20250117.6fbe590990 it uses thumbhash instead; they seem to have just forgotten to drop the build-dependency. I'll file a merge request to fix that.
