I have to admit, I never dealt with the Go part of the package for the
simple reason that I was too unfamiliar with the Go packaging approach
in Debian. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've already updated to 2.73 locally, but I haven't updated yet as I
haven't found the fix for #1089636 yet.

I'll try to push this new version tomorrow, leaving #1089636 open, so
that you may progress with your code.

Absolutely, and I would be grateful for it!

The only "condition" would be that 2.73 migrates to testing before we
add a new package, just to ensure that trixie will be up to date, given
the 2025-03-15 freeze. But that's only 2-day delay, and we can use that
to finalize the Go package.

Thanks,
Christian
