Hi,
given that this bug "makes the package in question unusable" - not sure
whether it affects most or all users - but the user base according to
popcon is relatively low. This might be caused by the problem or not -
we simply can't know. Thus I'd like to escalate this bug report since
it was not answered since nearly six years. IMHO we should not ship
this package with the Trixie release as long there is no clarification
for the issue.
I tried to help out and intended to forward the issue upstream[1] but
when visiting the Github project I learned that it was just archived.
This is another signal that this package is probably in a bad state and
Debian becomes upstream.
Jack, as the maintainer of this package do you think it is worth keeping
the package inside Debian or would it be a better idea to remove it from
the archive.
