Dear Maintainer,

Per #1094384 we know that numfmt will, by default,
reproduce the input XXX.YYY format.
Except it doesn't actually, with --to!=none:
it truncates to no precision (XXX):
  $ numfmt '   1.1    10.1    100.1   1000.1' --field - --to iec
       1      11      101     1001
  $ numfmt '   1.1    10.1    100.1   998.1 999.1' --field - --to si
       1      11      101     999  1.0K

All of these can be represented precisely, none of them are.
The astute reader will note that this is an error of 10%/8.9%/&c.

Best,
