It was *after* this report was downgraded to important that we realized about the following two noteworthy facts: * There are 18 packages affected. * This happens in the buildds. I'm therefore restoring the original severity. I already (more than three weeks ago) adapted the patch to comply with your last requirements (namely, that if the compress operation fails five times in a row, then postinst still exits with error). If this is still not enough please tell what is missing. Thanks.
