Please don't do BTS ping-pong. Ultimately, it is up to *ME* to decide the severity of the bug. I understand this affected your testings, but the package otherwise completely works, and provides very useful functionalities. I don't think #1069097 was serious enough to grant its removal from Testing/Trixie. This is entirely my call, and unfortunately doesn't depend on the level of frustration of the reporter. :)
I'm therefore restoring the original severity.

I already (more than three weeks ago) adapted the patch to comply with your last requirements
I was waiting for it, but unfortunately missed it. Sorry for this. The package is now built and uploaded with your patch. However, I'm still unsatisfied as we haven't found the root cause yet.
If this is still not enough please tell what is missing. Thanks.
I still believe it'd be best to find out what's going on, but I have still accepted the patch, as we need to move forward.
