Hi, usually I'm filing Intend To Salvage bugs in accordance with the Package Salvaging procedure outlined in the Developers Reference[1]. However, in case of your package debroster, the usually criterions are not really fulfilled. Despite this I think it makes perfectly sense to maintain debroster on Salsa in the debian/ team to provide easy access for people who might want to run a booth at some exposition and would like to add some feature to this package. For this purpose I've created a Git repository on Salsa.[2] It contains the fix for bug #1007297 and makes the package compliant to the latest packaging standards. Please let me know if you want me to do a team upload of the content of the repository or if you prefer to upload yourself. I will wait 21 days as usual in the package salvaging process to give you sufficient time to respond to this bug report. If I do not hear from you in this time frame I will assume agreement and upload to delayed=10 (and when doing so I will ping you again). Your package was highlighted in the Bug of the Day[3] initiative, which aims to introduce newcomers to manageable tasks and guide them through the workflow to solve them. The focus of this initiative is on migrating packages to Salsa, as it's a great way to familiarize newcomers with a consistent Git-based workflow. Kind regards Andreas.
