The mailto: script calls x-terminal-emulator -e mutt "$@". However, the case might arise where x-terminal-emulator is a term not supporting the -e flag (e.g. blackbox-terminal). This is not a standardized flag: man foot e.g. tells me -e is supported, though it is only supported for compatibilty reasons. While I acknowledge this is not a mutt issue per se maybe a comment within the script would be nice (i.e "This requires an x-terminal-emulator supporting -e"). best, werdahias - -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.11.5-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: OpenRC (via /run/openrc), PID 1: init LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages mutt depends on: ii libc6 2.40-4 ii libgnutls30t64 3.8.8-2 ii libgpg-error0 1.50-4 ii libgpgme11t64 1.24.0-2 pn libgsasl18 <none> ii libgssapi-krb5-2 1.21.3-3 ii libidn2-0 2.3.7-2+b1 ii libncursesw6 6.5-2+b1 ii libtinfo6 6.5-2+b1 pn libtokyocabinet9t64 <none> ii zlib1g 1:1.3.dfsg+really1.3.1-1+b1 Versions of packages mutt recommends: ii locales 2.40-4 ii mailcap 3.74 ii sensible-utils 0.0.24 Versions of packages mutt suggests: ii aspell 0.60.8.1-1+b2 ii ca-certificates 20240203 ii exim4-daemon-light [mail-transport-agent] 4.98-2 ii gnupg 2.2.45-2 ii ispell 3.4.06-1 ii openssl 3.3.2-2 pn urlview <none> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iIsEARYIADMWIQQUWTv/Sl6/b+DpcW7svtu2B7myvgUCZ03DuRUcd2VyZGFoaWFz QGRlYmlhbi5vcmcACgkQ7L7btge5sr5tZgEA8SVgp9P5ArVXA4jjUmyAN2m+jMtw QNsKlFyUuWTk4mwA/ihEVJBCY2PlzQegyWeHkxOaCFWfyOHHwjn/uJMdJv0B =mQEo -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
