Hello Christian, yes, it is 5.0.22-2. What I tried today: purge everything that is mysql related. When finished, the user debian-sys-maint was deleted. I then installed a fresh copy of mysql-server-5.0, now it refuses to start. No wonder: the user debian-sys-maint still does not exist. I assumed that it would automatically created by the preinstall scripts.
