I never argued about this is not right.  As I already
mentioned before, to me it looked like just a cosmetic thing
until I realized systemd complains.

The initscript is provided by samba-ad-dc package now, just like
the samba-ad-dc.service.  It is just that it is "helpfully" kept
as part of samba package *too* by dpkg on upgrade, which makes
it absurd as you noted.
