Package: cryptsetup Version: 2:2.7.4-1 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: yyhl1f...@mozmail.com
Dear Maintainer, I'm not entirely sure if this bug is in this package, but it is the only package with an error mentioned. * What led up to the situation? I ran an update on sid and was unable to boot due to "waiting for encrypted source device" messages not ending. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I checked on fstab and crypttab and everything looked fine there. * What was the outcome of this action? I decided to do a fresh install to diagnose the issue. I grabbed the latest mini.iso and did a fresh install with encryped LVM. I was able to boot with no issues. I then updated my apt sources to point to sid instead of trixie and ran an update and full-upgrade. I then saw the "waiting for encryped source device" messages and was unable to boot again. Thank you for reading this. Again, I'm not sure if this is the right place to report this but it feels like a pretty serious issue. -- Package-specific info: -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.8.12-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages cryptsetup depends on: ii cryptsetup-bin 2:2.7.2-2 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.86 ii dmsetup 2:1.02.196-1+b1 ii libc6 2.38-12.1 cryptsetup recommends no packages.
