So I think we should ask designers, rather. Agnieszka Czajkowska has been doing some nice layouts for CD covers, Debconf etc., we could ask her. Or we could start a contest for etch artwork, similar to what GNOME is doing for their splash screens. I think what we need is a nice, recognizable, but not too distracting background/splash image.
