How do you consider making users do so? Add an otherwise empty youtube-dl binary package to src:yt-dlp with both README.Debian and NEWS.Debian (for apt-listchanges) telling them to switch but that their command line options and configuration files are no good any longer, and with no compat binary/symlink? Uh yay. It probably will have to be that, if it’s not a drop-in replacement, especially if frontends break. Users’ own scripts would also break then so they’d need a heads-up. bye, //mirabilos -- “Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool.” -- Edward Burr
