I can confirm from another PC that it just doesn't work after install. After the following steps, it was ok: - copy nm-applet.conf to NetworkManagerInfo.conf - reload dbus - restart nm-applet After the following steps, it was still ok: - remove NetworkManagerInfo.conf - reload dbus - restart nm-applet One would think we just would have the same state as right after install, but it appears not.
