Bugfix provided in the upstream bug. Now comes the hardest part: encouraging upstream maintainers to accept the bugfix. They usually feel alienated if some unknown idiot (me) comes along and solves a long standing issue quickly. Last time (bugfix for Gitk) I solved this by writing poems :-)
