 That error message comes from kernel, and sfskey aborts. I don't see
 anything in the code on sfs part (crypt/getkbdnoise.C) that could make
 kernel do that.

 I've seen that same error message from kernel few times with new
 keyboards that have extra keys. Map them into something sensible or
 just don't touch them.
