Xprint will be back in the next revision of firefox. It was switched off
temporarily while the Xprint packages were being prepared for the new
modular X11R7.

Please be aware that TrueType fonts are currently not detected in the
latest system.  They are expected to be restored later this month when
X11R7.1 is released.

Separated settings can be set up by hand in the Xprint config files, but
you're right it is in principle a nuisance.  I have hopes of developing
a more aware Xprint in the future, but that's dependent on the
development of the OpenPrinting libraries, which are still alpha and
new.
