Related to that, in #810151 I was asked to add support for dhcpcd to NetworkManager.
The NetworkManager dhcpcd plugin requires a minimum version of 9.3.3 From the NEWS file: ============================================= NetworkManager-1.30 Overview of changes since NetworkManager-1.28 ============================================= ... * The dhcpcd plugin now requires a minimum version of dhcpcd-9.3.3 with the --noconfigure option. Using an older version will cause dhcpcd to exit with a status code of 1.I was considering enabling dhcpcd support in NetworkManager since ISC DHCP client seems to be on life support:
https://www.isc.org/blogs/dhcp-client-relay-eom/But that would require dhcpcd to be properly maintained in Debian and I don't see that happening atm.
