Package: dropbear-initramfs Version: 2020.81-4 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: ampboel...@gmail.com
I followed the instructions in /usr/share/doc/dropbear-initramfs/README.initramfs to setup remote unlocking of a luks partition. The network connection seems to be coming up correctly (using dhcp) and I can ping my server on port 2222. Dropbear also starts: Begin: Starting dropbear ... [268] Oct 01 21:55:39 Forced command set to 'cryptroot-unlock' [268] Oct 01 21:55:39 Not backgrounding However, connecting to the server with my ssh client the connection times out. It seems there is something missing in the documentation? -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.14.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages dropbear-initramfs depends on: ii busybox 1:1.30.1-7 ii dropbear-bin 2020.81-4 ii initramfs-tools 0.140 ii udev 247.9-1 Versions of packages dropbear-initramfs recommends: ii cryptsetup-initramfs 2:2.4.0-1 dropbear-initramfs suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/dropbear/initramfs/dropbear.conf changed: DROPBEAR_OPTIONS="-I 300 -j -k -p 2222 -s -c cryptroot-unlock" -- no debconf information
